Capturing the little moments on your big day

Hi, I'm Taylor

I'm a full-time graphic designer and part-time photographer from a small town near Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, I love pizza probably more than one person should and I've seen every episode of New Girl at least fifteen times. I have a furbaby named Tucker - a German Shepherd who I'm absolutely obsessed with, and there's nothing I love more than being a total couch potato on my weekends off.

BEHIND THE LENS

From a very young age, I have always loved photography. I used to go through disposable cameras like they were candytaking photos of absolutely everything. When I started college in 2015 to pursue a degree in graphic design, photography became a core part in the curriculum. My freshman year I had to take a black and white film photography course, dark room and all! This kickstarted that fire in my heart to do something more with photography. I ended up minoring in photography alongside my BFA in design. I got my first camera in 2017 and tagged alongside my sister-in-law who owns her own photography business to a few weddings. I instantly knew I wanted to keep photographing weddings. Now, years later and some upgraded equipment, I've shot over 100 weddings and don't plan on slowing down any time soon.

MY WHY

Life has given me both incredible joy and unimaginable loss. After losing my son and my dad within 2 years of one another, I realized how powerful photos really are—they’re the pieces of someone’s story that live on forever. It's the reason I approach every wedding with such care and intention—because I know firsthand how important it is to hold onto the laughter, tears, and the love we never want to forget.

I look back at my wedding photos, and I see the little moments that my dad and I shared on that day—from our first look, to our daddy daughter dance. When we lost him unexpectedly in 2021, I've carried those photos as something I will cherish forever. That experience has shaped the way I see weddings through my lens—not just as events, but as legacies. And believe me when I say, I will shed a few tears when you dance with your dad!

the heart of a mother

In 2023, we tragically lost my one and only child. My son, Colton, was born at just 27 weeks due to me developing severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. Weighing in at only 1 lb. 13 oz., he was such a fighter. He was feisty and strong and the absolute cutest. But at just 10 days old, we got a call saying he wouldn't make it through the night. Within just a few hours of us arriving at the hospital, he was gone. Our beautiful boy passed away from NEC, an infection in his bowels that spread to the rest of his body.

Now, why am I telling you this incredibly sad story? Because I think it's important to know the person behind the lens. I photograph with the heart of a mother, knowing how valuable it is to hold onto every memory, big and small. Photographs are the only way to look back on those beautiful 10 days I spent with my son and I want people to do the same with their wedding photosto not only capture the love, but the people you treasure the most.

Photography means more to me than beautiful images—it’s about preserving memories that last a lifetime.
